Digital shares in a Corporate Sponsored Nominee are shares that are held on a separate register to paper share certificates and therefore no paper certificates are provided.

What do I need to buy shares?
Your National Insurance number (if you are a sole UK national).
Your debit card details.
Your shareholder reference number for an active holding in the Corporate Sponsored Nominee of the company you wish to buy additional shares in.
If you don’t already hold shares in the Corporate Sponsored Nominee for the company you want to buy shares in, you will need to first buy paper share certificates and then transfer these into the Corporate Sponsored Nominee.
How do I transfer paper share certificates to a CSN holding?
If you currently hold paper certificates for a company and wish to transfer these to a Corporate Sponsored Nominee holding please see the list of companies that offer this service to see if yours is listed. Once you have transferred your shares into the Corporate Sponsored Nominee you will be able to buy additional shares to add directly to that holding.
What happens once I place my trade?
(Timelines are indicative of the earliest start time for each part of the process)
Day 1 – The trade is placed.
Day 1-2 – A contract note is generated.
Day 3 – Settlement Day – shares will be applied to your Corporate Sponsored Nominee holding provided no additional ID is required.
